Even if Gordon Brown decides to reverse his decision, I will not be voting Labour again while he is in charge.

It is good news that Gordon is going to back down. It's suggested that he will offer the scheme to basic rate tax payers only. This is good news for most people but surely everyone, including higher rate tax payers, deserve some help towards their childcare costs? Educated, hard working parents shouldn't be punished. I often wonder if the government wants us all to live on benefits!

Also sign the Employers For Childcare ChildcareSOS petition by emailing childcareSOS@employersforchildcare.org. This is the charity which is mentioned in the westminster Early Day Motion which has already been signed by 88 MPs, including almost 40 labour MPs.
