Hi Guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me.
I've read about claiming back PPI on loans etc. I've taken loans out etc in the past but haven't got a note of the agreement number as I've now finished paying the loan.
Can anyone advise what to do if the agreement number isn't known.
Kind Regards
Chris.

Hello and welcome.
If you were mis sold the PPI for any reason and not made a successful claim for example, sickness/unemployment then go for it.
The account number should be shown on the agreement, but a way to ask for the info is that you can request a SAR (Subject access request), they have 40 days to comply and send everything they hold on you.
If you no account number at all for requesting the SAR info, write in as much details as possible, like any old address, surnames, and also write your date of birth, this makes it easier to track down your info.
SAR letter template on the link below:

You must also enclose £10 postal order or cheque for this request and also post by recorded delivery as well.
If you do find any of the account numbers, then that will be fine, you can use them to write your letters of reclaim, where they may even send you copies of the agreements back with the first response.
You can try tracking down old account numbers on banking statements, this is normally shown next to the monthly loan repayments, if you bank online this should allow you to go back as far as 5/6 years.
