Dell Inspirion 6400 Video Problems

Just bought a Dell Inspirion 6400 with 1Gb ram and 256Mb shared memory on the video with an Intel Media Accelerator 950 Video chip running the graphics side. Main processor is a Intel ® Core™ Duo Processor T2300 (1.66 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB).
Couple of issues I've got with this notebook:
1. The general colour from the screen seems 'washed out' and it seemsto lack sharpness, both of which can't be adjusted. I stayed with the selected WXGA TFT Display, but it is really bad when compared to my normal TFT monitor. Did the full system restore bit to no avail.
2. Tried playing a DVD in the machine with nothing else installed or running and the playback is 'juttery'. Just about watchable but very wearing on the eyes after a while because of the juttering.
Anyone else had similar issues with this notebook?
Going to speak to Dell in the morning to see what options I have for getting it replaced.

If you mean that the picture shudders, I had that on the (now returned) inspiron 6000. Dell took it back after the usual 10 calls and emails.
they should take it back if it's new?
