Innocent Veg Pots - Homemade Version?

If you wanted to make it really easy , buy one of these spice mixes for 90p from an asian supermarket, follow the instructions on the packet , then add a bit of veg , tin of chick peas and coriander.

oooooh i also have wanted to try these for ages but no way was i ever paying ful price for these, in fact i was a little unsure if i wanted to pay half price either:rotfl:
the mousakka one was the version i tried and it was yummy, but to be honest i think it lacked a bit of flavour but that could be because i like really strong flavours in my meals but i woul dlove to recreate this version and it looks like it could be very mse friendly:D
the ingredients are: Borlotti beans (17%), tomato (16%), onion, water, carrot, potato, aubergine (6%), milk, tomato pur!e, cornflour, red wine, spinach, demerara sugar, Cheddar cheese (contains milk), low fat soft cheese (contains milk), vegetable oil, garlic, sea salt, mint (0.2%), thyme, basil, black pepper, oregano, mustard powder (contains mustard), nutmeg.
A lot of those items are store cupboard essentials in my home and aubergines are on offer a lot in lidls, borlotti beans are 53p in tesco and cheese is alway in my fridge so th eonly thing i would need to buy is low fat soft cheese, and thats 46p for the value stuff, although it's not low fat but, i reckon you could make a huge batch of this one for next to nothing. I am definately going to give it a go.:j:j:j0 -
The Tesco version of these is usually on two for one which makes them a bit more of a possibility...

got these ona whoopsie at asda for 15p each a few friday nights a go. Made cheap healthy lunches for the sat and sun at work, delish and cheap what a combo lol

I made a version of the mexican chilli one and was really surprised that it actually tasted really similar!! I posted it on my blog if anyone wants to have a look
