Just got a car which has lighter coloured scratches on dark and mid grey plastic on the doors and the dashboard. Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to disguise these so that they disappear or at least are less obvious.

Try spraying with a little old aftershave and buffing up with a lint free cloth you should see a marked improvement. Excuse the pun.
Alternatively you can go to Halfords and spend a small fortune on pruducts like back to black.

  • You could try one of these http://www.performancemotorcare.com/acatalog/copy_of_Autoglym_Magic_Sponge_Scuff_and_Mark_Remover.html
I've used one with good results. Not for major stuff. Try in an inconspicuous place first!

I always rub in the stuff for blacking bumpers etc, even oe grey it fills the scratches a little and can then be rubbed back until the colour lightens;)

Some car interiors are absolute !!!!!!s for this yet others seem to resist scuffing much better.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
