iriver H10 - Problems trying to sync music files

Hi, unfortunately I'm not that technical
I am trying to update my iriver with some new files and thought that I would delete everything on it and then upload everything on my pc under my music files but wasn't able to find out how to delete it..
Then I tried simply to sync the files and this didn't work as it said there wasn't enough room on my iriver.
I thought maybe I should download the latest software but when I go on this site I can't find anything
http://www.iriver.com/flash/index.asp?code=0302
Is it possible to "wipe" the player and to start again please, any advise would be really gratefully recieved.. thanks in advance...

On their site it lists at bottom right "05.7 H10 Firmware Release V2.53"
But when I click on it there is nothing there...

I've just found that the music has been saved but it's saved under browser, does anyone know why it might be doing this instead of saving it under the music folder please? It's really strange - I don't know how I can move it...

Does anyone have an iriver or know much about these, or am I better just investing in a new mp3 player than trying to work out how to move the music from the browser to the music part of it - any help appreciated...

I guess that's a no, and I need to move with the times :rotfl::rotfl:
However I love my iriver as it had radio on it too

Your best bet would probably be to ask at MisticRiver. They should be able to help...0

I've got the dab player and agree with you about the radio, however, I can't help you techy wise but I have had some assistance in the past from Advanced mp3 players. This is NOT a plug for sales for that outfit but they do have a forum for Joe (and Jane) public to submit queries, similar to this one. I downloaded a firmware update for my B20 from a direct link on their site on Sunday.

i had an H10 a while back, i recall there was a way to force it to connect as a standard external 'usb type' drive and you could then just drag and drop your music over (provided you found the right directory to put it in....) have you tried that? have you read the manual?0

Thanks NickMidgley and steady__eddie for those links, will look through them both. I did google troubshooting etc for h10 iriver but as it's an older model there wasn't that much that I could find that helped me - will definately look at these links
JasX - I've read the manual and it states the use of windows media player, nothing about usb but I'm going to look into that - would be much easier

worth double checking the manual but Google turned up this, also sounded vaguely familiar:
- Use a small device (paper clip) to press the reset button
- Connect the player to the PC with the USB cable
- Click and hold the Select key of the H10 ("o" button) and then the Power button until the "Emergency Connect..." message appears and then disappears on the H10's LCD screen. Keep pushing the button while "Emergency Connect..." massages appears on the screen

Thanks JasX. I tried this (apart from I can't find the reset button and there is nothing in manual about it either).
It did bring music up, but it is the folders under the browser section that it finds. Doesn't seem to show the music under the music folder.
Folders appearing are :-
IRIVER H10
-IRIVER HDD
+MUSIC
+MY RECORDINGS
+SERVICE
+TEXT
On my iriver the folders are
Music (this is where I'd like my music - old albums are here)
FM Radio
Recording
Photo
Text
Browser (where it's saving anything i sync now through windows media player)
