Car log book ?
Hi
I am relatively new to this country and have a car. I have a question regarding registration documents for the car. i am sure it is a daft question to most of you..
what is a car's log book? i keep hearing this term but not sure about it.
I thought in UK car's only registration document required is the V5 document. I have that with me but do i need any other formal documents as an owner of the car (apart from MOt, Insurance & service book)....
thx

Log book and V5 are the same thing.;)0

Many years ago we used to have these http://volvo1800pictures.com/a_S_67_1/67_79_id_1087_green_logbook_1.jpg which was called a vehicle registration book and has since been replaced by the computerised V5.0

And just for completeness, being listed as the registered keeper on the logbook(V5) does not prove ownership.

The log book is a really old term and it would be better if people stopped using it.
Registration document is more appropriate.0 -

We all still use the term MOT, but is really a VOSA Test these days.
Some things never change.;)0
