According to http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.htm, mint charges a 2% balance xfer fee.

If it's any good or not depends entirely on how you intend to use it. A bit more info on this would be helpful.

Small print on tv ad declares max credit limit is £7500 I beleive, and balance transfer of 50% max credit limit only. fee is 2% or £49 max whichever is lower amount. so there can be real limitations with this deal depending on what you need.

Have had a Mint for the last year and not had any major problems, but then again you could probably say that about a load of cards. They sorted out a fraud issue I had when someone starting charging lump sums of £50 for mobile phone vouchers out very quickly so certainly customer services wise I would recommend them. Plus you get a cool looking card if you go for the mc2 card!!! Overall then if your going to just spend on it, its probably as good as any, but balance transfer wise I would try the Post Office (6 months) or the recently launched GE Money (12 months) which I think do not charge balance transfer fees

GE Money (Transformation card) does have a 0% for 12 month deal but it is NOT fee free (2.5% fee but capped at £50)

I want to transfer about £1500 onto it to clear the balance as quickly as possible you see. So do any of them not charge for balance transfers? Also, mint is offering 0% on new purchases aswell which would be useful if we had an emergency.just found this site: http://www.fool.co.uk/credit-cards/credit-cards-comparison.aspx?site=UKFoolSearch&campaignid=681&source=ecegglppc0010001&gclid=CMmuyO37r4UCFRxXMAodEyhr8g

Ooops sorry about that. Therefore Post Office is probably your best bet for no fees whatsoever, but is only 6 months. Check the stoozing web link posted earlier in this thread for a comprehensive list...

You get 9 months 0% and no balance xfer fees with Scouts Association charity card from RBS. Also, it's an instant online decision. I got it last week. There are links for it in Martin's best buy articles (linked at the top of the forum and also on the left under credit cards).

In theory that sounds great but just look at the post in this forum called 'confirmation of fee frees charity cards' and the amount of people who have applied and then told by HBOS that there is indeed a fee on a lot of occasions. Applying is probably ok if you have the time to reapply elsewhere if they mess you around, but if your in a struggle for time I would go for Post Office which although is 6 months and not 9, at least you know where you are

Hi. I read the thread and applied for both. The charity card credit agreement makes no mention of any fees for balance xfers - so let them try it!

After my experience with the PO card, I would not recommend it to anyone, but I have also read that peeps have had good experiences with them, so there you go.
