I have a lovely new huge house we have built so really I dont need anything BUT I always say perfume, I have 3 types i always wear & dont buy it myself so i like getting my years supply at xmas, Then a couple of weeks ago after a year of debating & poo poo'ing the idea I actually bought myself a pair of uggs, (my 5 year old has a pair & the insides felt so lush I copied her haha) WELL these boots are so darned comfy & actually although I'm afraid to admit, better then my normal 6 quid primark ones that i'd like another pair in a different colour !!
I am also getting a dsi prob with a couple of games, i think this is actually my main xmas pressie so the uggs would be for my birthday, everyone is sick of me playing the kids ds lites & causing arguments so i'm getting my own one.
Hubby came home & told me not to buy any cd's until xmas so i was quite clever & said i'd downloaded robbies new album & he called me all the names & said he had just bought it for me so i laughed & said i hadnt downloaded it so he gave me the album last night anyway heehee.
Its my birthday on the 22nd so i normally get fairly good presesnts.
my major problem is what to get hubby... ??????? he said a personalised number plate to match mine but thats so naff for an xmas pressie but i'm stumped this year.0 -
I'm giving my mum money to take my three year old shopping for a pair of slippers for me. Knowing her, she'll come back with a pair of monster feet and a bag of maltesers0

I don't mind if I don't have any presents.. I've had a really tough year with one thing and another, and I truly just want to have a fabulous day with my children and my parents. My children really want to buy me a present so I will probably give my mum a nominal amount of money and ask her to take them. It doesn't matter if it's a bar of chocolate, or a postage stamp - I know it'll be given with love.Cheer up. The worst is yet to come - Mark Twain0

mine might look a lot but i'll tell you a story first of all.......
i moved into my house in june, and was given an old crt tv (the bulky ones like everyone used to have), anyway when i got my student loan rebate i was going to buy one and ask for a freeview recorder off the parentals and buy them perfume for the mother and clothes or a new mobile for the father.
then they saw a car they liked, and my family are car mad, they needed £300 for a deposit (my s.l rebate was £320) so i said i could lend them the £300 and they pay me when they have it, or they could have it as their xmas present and buy me something when a bargain comes up.
so i'm getting a 32'' lcd tv for the front room, my mum jokes her and my dad got the wheels off a sports car off me (well the tyres are about £300 a set lol)
they will probably get other things as well, mum will probably still get perfume and dad will probably still get a phone (£400 on the pair of them ), housemate will probably get d and g light blue perfume or something, and parents labrador will get a big box of pedigree dental chews cos she loves them
rest of my list is either a new tv stand (a glass topped one would look amazing), russell howard dvd, rhod gilbert dvd, pair of size 9 1/2 merrells (in my bloody dreams) an ipod dock, kimberley from girls aloud, and £59000 to pay my mortgage offthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

I would like the impossible - 25hrs in a day (with that extra hour all to myself!)
One lie in a year would be something to look forward to (the 5.30 starts with my children are really NOT something to look forward to!); Some sunshine (UK based!); World peace would be a lovely one but then OH would be out of a job!
A magic pill to be super slim; and another magic pill for good behaviour in my children.
Realistically - it will probably be some sort of computer gadget as thats what OH is into!!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
I love homemade presents but nobody in my family ever gives me one...I ask my partner every year to make me something but he says that's not where his talents lie (he's right!). I was listing all the things I was going to make him - a Christmas jumper, some fingerless mittens, a scarf - and he said "Am I getting any bought presents this year?" He likes things from shops, I like things handmade and we give each other the opposite!
My Christmas list:
Cheap Detective dvd
Eoin Colfer book, And Another Thing
Flight of the Conchords
Ed Reardon on audio
Folio Society edition of Catch 22 (ebay)
Folio Society Wuthering Heights
Folio Society Alice in Wonderland
Penguin publisher book mugs
Sewing box
Planet Earth dvd
Miss Marple box set (got Poirot last year!)
Slanket
Some Knit Pro Harmony knitting needle tips but I know no-one's going to get me them
For the people after ideas for man presents, I've bought my partner an old-style globe, which he's been after for years. I've also got him some dvd box sets (Spaced, Alien, 24), some books from a series he collects (we love books!), some PJs, his annual outrageous Christmas jumper, an "I love spreadsheets" mug (he has a spreadsheet for everything), and the limited-edition cricket ball Marmite. And possibly a pair of glittens if I can knit them in time. It's his birthday in January, he'd like an electric blanet so that's on the list for then.0
