Dog is a fussy eater

If finance is an issue in feeding your dog Pearbear, Wagg is worth a look - it is made by the same people as Harringtons. If you are after higher protein, try Wagg Worker - 15kg for less than a tenner. Despite all the hype about expensive pet food, my dog has done fine on this, although she is currently on CSJ lite to keep her slim - she is a gannet! My mums dog is in excellent condition on it, and my last dog made it to 16 on it...
Bakers is full of colours, I would not recommend it for this reason. Sardines, as you have said, are great for tempting fussy eaters - and hunger works wonders!0 -
I agree with FC that a healthy dog will not starve itself

I have always found that sardines are a sure winner to get them to eat. We use working dog food from our local feed merchant and liven it up with leftovers, gravy, pet mince from the butchers etc.
We have a working cocker and cat food really upsets her stomach so I would have not thought that long term it would be very good.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
Have you ever tried anything raw, perhaps a chicken wing to start with? Many cats and dogs go mad for it, others are not impressed!! If that works well you can buy a (large) sample pack of ready-made raw from here:

one tip for you: don't give into your dog and give him something else straight away if he refuses his meal, as he's effectively training you and not the other way around0
