  • I don't like this particular Monday because I have to take the tube in to Central London during rush hour and I suspect the thing's going to be mobbed... Urgh.

Generally though, I don't mind Mondays.

I always excited on Mondays - in a "back to school" style new start kind of way!

    (It wears off.):D

  • Good morning.
Signing on day again - 'intensive job search' part where you go every week for 6 weeks for loads of help. As I can already sign my name on a dotted line without assistance this is a mere formality. Not that I am cynical of course.

Tipping it down outside and I'm shattered.

Morning all...horrible day here, wet n windy...road outside village still closed with trees/power lines so road through village is gridlocked! Back much better today,so can crack on with hoovering/ironing etc...DH birthday tomorrow,so must wrap pressies too....have a good day all....SRM xxx

Beanie-if you read this-just saw your suggestion of Naproxen..thats what the doc gave me..I've tried Diclofenac in the past but it makes me too spacey...I think this needs some sorting out....What with Spina Bifida, and a car crash with broken hips/back on top of that..and feeet 2 sizes different..
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
  • Morning all....well I'm onto my second cup of tea of the day...and it's still not making me feel any better :(
Was so so tired yesterday that I went to bed at 10pm...only to be woken up at 12 by the neighbours having a screaming fight that was so loud you could hear it through our front door with their front door closed! (we have a shared driveway and both doors face each other.)
The fight didn't stop until about 2am...by which point OH was unable to get to sleep and my stomach was churning so much I couldn't get back to sleep either :(

So....very little money saving today, except when I get home, I'll be crashing on the sofa with my duvet and pillows and catching up on the sleep I lost lol.
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)

    Morning y'all...

you lot make me larf....yes SuzySu I am really a nana.....its in the genes...neither of my parents really look their age. Although my kids keep me young..

Spud....my OH really was desperate for a 50" tv...and we sit about 6 feet away from it. Although I get a bit embarrassed about it, cos I think people must think we must have more money than sense, and the neighbours watch our tv instead of their own, I secretly do love it....its like being at the cinema.

I am shattered today. We had visitors stay last night i had to iron bed sheets and everything! Not what I needed with a bad hangover and no sleep yesterday. I caught up on I'm a celebrity - hilarious....i give up on Xfactor...but that Gino geezer is seriously dishy!

Got to take DD1 to the dentist today. Then I have to catch up on sleep and emotions after the fall out of the weekend. Not sure my relationship with one of my SIL's can ever be repaired, so I am a little sad. Of course my OH has gone to work wondering what all the fuss is about.

I secretly like Mondays cos I get the house back to myself and its like breathing a sigh of relief....

Nice to see some new faces..Bookie, that job centre lark is awful. My OH used to give them so much grief when he had to go and sign on. Its quite demeaning and condescending. Chin up girl! And yes, you really must learn to put yourself first.

  • Read back on Friday's chat.
Sorry if I sounded rude Snaggs - I really do appreciate your advice.

Your weekend sounds traumatic Sammy - will read back Sat and Sun later to find out what kicked off.

Must get out of bed. :o

Found a few jobs to apply for later and I really MUST sort out a few forms re mortgage etc. Please nag until I do them. :rotfl:

My house is a tip too - just dumped my weekend stuff in the kitchen last night.

Beginning to wonder if I am doing job applications badly - to be rejected by DWP is ridiculous.

Its not too bad before 8:10 to be honest - but stupidly today I left late and got stuck on an 8:22 train :eek::eek: Had to rest my head on the door as there was nothing to hold to :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope central is too traumatic for you :D
