Caravan mode Sat Nav
My MIL wants to get a new Sat Nav that has a Caravan mode . ( i think it this means it won't send you down roads / lanes that would be difficult for the Caravan to go and turn around ect)
her Budget is around £150 - £200 . any recommendations ??

Can't say I've ever heard about a 'Caravan mode' before. Hell, most of them don't even acknowledge the existence of low bridges....Fight Crime : Shoot Back.

Try googling HVG SAT NAV - prices seem to have become more reasonable over the last few years - example here http://www.mflqualtech.com/pronav---sat-nav-for-hgvs-and-lcvs-424-p.asp (not a recommendation).0

I thought caravan mode would be a mode that would start beeping if you went over 40 as there would be a risk a queue wouldn't build up behind you

Oh yeah, and it would have to take you via the New Forest or Cornwall on any journey (even a little one to the shops)

Although I dont have an actual sat nav unit I do have Garmin mobile xt on my windows mobile phone and that does have caravan routing options, so it may be worth a look at the actual garmin units.0
