egg timescales after ombudsman decision

Hi does anyone have any idea roughly how long egg are taking to pay out loan ppi refunds when the ombudsman has ruled against them? I have accepted the final decison and Im really hoping I'll be paid out by Xmas?

Hello. Glad to hear of your success with FOS, unfortunately don't have any idea how long you will wait. Fingers crossed it will be before Xmas as reading on the forums they seemed tpo have got a bit faster with payouts.

I was wanting to know how long the Adjudicator took to make a decision and how long Egg took to accept?

I have 2 complaints against Egg with the FOS and they have just been passed to an Adjudicator last week. One is for online PPI and the second is for having the refund on my refinanced loan paid directly to me and not offset against my loan.

It took about 4 months to get a decision from the adjudicator who ruled in my favour but egg didnt respond to the decision within the 30 days they asre permitted so it then had to go onto the ombudsman for a final decision which took another 6 weeks and has just come through now. So not far off 6 months to get to this stage. Stick at it though as from what the adjudicator told me egg arent contesting any decisions just now and are losing 99% of cases.

Also my claim was against ppi on a loan bought online and the ombudsman ruled the website didnt have sufficient information so you should be successful.

Thank you for the info. It would probably help to ring Egg after about 2/3 weeks have passed to ensure they have received your aceptance form and ask how long they will take to action your refund.

Good luck,fingers crossed for a pre-Xmas refund. Keep us posted on the timescales.

Thanks that sounds promising, did this happen after an ombudsman decision and did this happen recently?
