Wednesday~ Master bedroom and landing All done toots :j:D
  • Hi everyone, it's a grey and windy day here. I've been out to the PO and library so can settle down with a good book later. Feeling a bit better than y'day so planning to do some flying now. DH has just got off the computer and gone to work, which is why I'm so late getting on here.
Thanks to everyone for the support on my paper - I feel so relieved to have got the thing done...

More evidence of the power of the Flyladies (if any were needed...)...

Having 'chased my compost bin' the other day (by e-mail....) and reported it here, I got ready to go out, hardly 30 mins later and....

A delivery van screeched up to my door, a guy dashed up to my door, silver mules whooshing about his ears, massive green package in tow, and *there it was*!!! My brand new compost bin, to add to my collection (I so wanna have four like Hex... I have three now!).

I guess he must have been lurking on the board....??? Tall guy, muscular, quite young - belong to anyone???? :D

Mudbath and Soappie: take it easy, eh???? :rotfl:

Off to bed, then off to fly tomorrow...

Julie hope your observation goes well

Soappie and Greenbee hope your ankles continue to improve today

    Diva hugs to you xx

Lady Liberty, how are you today? I’m doing a bit better today thanks, headache has gone for now, and feeling a bit more energetic as a result

Mudbath, hope your eye is on the mend soon

Big hugs Poohbear, sounds like a rough week. Sorry about old dog. PM me if you need a chat xx

    HHC @12:30 anyone?

Hex - found any missing words in those books yet?

No, but I am working on it. She has similar taste to me, but more disposable income in recent years so lots of things I haven't read but want to :j. She is flying to NZ tonight so fingers crossed the wind drops a bit for her. The cats, boys and I will miss her as she was the only localish person I have.

Cold and horrible here, I have two jumpers on, my fingerless gloves and sheepskin slippers on as well as usual clothes and I am still cold. Time for a warming HHC at 12.30 if anyone cares to join me? make that I will join you at 12.30 Rosepink!

I ended up buying lots of the 3 for 2 festive hampers for various people which is me nearly fninshed. What was irritating was that if you then add cheaper stuff it uses those as the free items .

Miss Higgerty - I only have four compost bins because there were two home made style open wooden ones when we moved in, they were full of half rotted grass cuttings and I needed more room for the great garden clearance so I bought some of the green box ones cheaply from the council. Stuff starts in the open bins (the chickens love these and churn it up regularly), then moves through the four stages whenever I remember. Good exercise for me, and it speeds the process up. DH is a hobby carpenter and generates a lot of untreated sawdust so that goes in as well rather than off to landfill. Garden is quite large. Used to be someones pride and joy but then got neglected when he died, nothing put back in the soil for years. I need lots of compost. I also spent my 35th birthday last year shovelling several tons of manure with a chronic chest infection so that we could actually shut the gate. My life is fun sometimes :D.

will see how I feel when get home from work tonight.
We went to my sisters last night, DD2 had a chat with her whilst looking at the progress on sisters loft conversion, she said she was moving back in with us, so I’m assuming that means she’s keeping baby and giving up uni? Though she told my sister that she hadn’t decided, but sounds to me like she has. Didn’t want to ask her last night as she has to tell me, will see what tonight brings. May ring FA that did my mortgage last time, and ask him to look into re-mortgaging, though have a year left on fixed rate and a penalty of £1600 still, but need to get some sort of orderly thoughts in my head and this will be doing one of them. Will have to ring when pop out for a fag at work as he does a lot of work for vendors at work and don’t want others in office to hear my conversation with him as I’ve not told any of them yet what’s going on. Though they know it’s something as I look about 109, chin keeps wobbling and stuff.
Love and hugs all round xxx
Stay strong, it will all work out in the end:kisses3:

And before Greenbee asks I am still working, stopped for a break:p

    Afternoon all

    Today's list complete.

Wild and wet here, fed up with doors rattling. At least it's not really cold.

One small load of washing hung round indoors.

I made the chocolate orange cake this morning (thanks for the recipe Triker). It's still a bit warm so I haven't tried any yet but it smells delicious. Will have to have some after dinner.

Hope everyone's OK, going to catch up now.

Poohbear, it's such a sad time but I'm sure you've made the best decision for your dog. It's the last good thing we can ever do for them even though it breaks our hearts.

Awww poohbear you must be so upset :kisses3: it's a very hard decision and you're being so brave about it, you've put your own feelings to one side and thought what's best for doggie, not easy x

SIL phoned, nephew hasn't got a Swine Flu....stoopid NHS line thing  he has a chest infection, good job she held off giving him the Tamiflu, so I can go to work Friday & Saturday :j I like structure & routine and being out of the house, don't really enjoy being off, I get 'bored' :D

Mde the beds and tidied what bits were on littleys floor, opened the door to teenies room went  said 'pooooooooooh' and closed it again.....been looking at the stack of pressies in the corner wondering if I should wrap them today  I can't decide.
