How lovely Toots that you had AnW's visit. I'm jealous that she had the chance.

One day soon BB and I will do that SHUNT thing...
I do hope you will - its great having 'her' here and it would be the same for you and BB too.

thanks everyone - we are doing retail therapy tomorrow after we have acquired the argos stuff, been to the sale room with a load, been to the post office with 5 parcels that we have just wrapped - a quiet day then!!!!

argh!!! have had the day from hell
it started okay with 30 lengths, at work in plenty of time, organised etc etc, but ended with a parent shouting at me (not even a child in my class) and storming out hurling abuse at us, sigh! Who wants to be a deputy head...how I managed to bite my tongue I don't know but thank heavens I did, ARGHHHHH

    so

no flying for me tonight, calmed down while I cooked the tea (WW recipe enchiladas which were delicious) then OH made me sit down and watch a dvd, bless him, he has been so good to me tonight :)

fan and sh*t tomorrow no doubt, off to bed, will do better on the flying front tonight (I did actually empty the dishwasher and reload after tea and the kitchen looks quite clean and tidy atm!!)
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

Oven cleaned... DW door seals cleaned... supper stuff washed up... DW filters cleaned... most of damp washing in TD... better go and hang the rest of it up.

Utility room is still a disaster area. KItchen table is also rather full. I'm hoping that if I go to bed now I'll get up in time to get some stuff done before I go to work! I'd really like to get the floors done, and the kitchen cleared as I've got a friend coming here before we go off for reflexology... which reminds me, I'd better make sure I have food for her as she'll probably stay to eat!
  • OOOOOO Toots and AnW'sMum :hello: :hello: How exciting!!!! I hope you have a wonderful time together. I'm very envious.... in the nicest possible way!!! :D:D:D
    (((((((hugs))))))) and kisses

Usual freegle thing happening... lots of 'yes please' and 'I'll take the lot'... I've put a note on my first taken post to say that they need to specify which bits they want as it isn't a single batch for car booters...

Sausages defrosting for supper tomorrow... I have lots of veggies to go with them.

When I spoke to my parents earlier they mentioned that they'd spoken to their builder (who did my kitchen) and he's probably going to drop in sometime in the new year (he's visiting an aunt in the new forest) and have a look at what needs doing, and is happy to spend a few days here sorting things out (and probably making a list of what needs doing next!).

I keep hoping I'll find someone reliable nearer home, but I don't seem to have much success... and at least I can trust this guy - I've known him since he was 18 (and I was 3 :D), and he's done most of the work (certainly all the big stuff) on this house, and he did all the work on my house in London too.

Suppose I should head off to bed if I'm going to get up at a sensible time tomorrow.

Hope toots & AnW's mum are behaving themselves and having a nice early night after all their gallivanting!

    4. binbag dance
    5. [/STRIKE]
    6. Emptied a 4-drawer filing cabinet - full of Christmas gifts, books, paperwork from 2008 etc etc (in no particular order).
    7. Washed walls in hallway and up the stairs.
    8. (Very) Quick hoover of landing, DS1's room, main bedroom.
I'll finish the lounge bits more thoroughly tomorrow. The cabinet is being moved out, never to return. The carpet is being cleaned in the afternoon so I need to act quickly tomorrow morning if I'm going to clear the 'glory hole' in the corner and not let the cleaner see that pile (more books, gift wrap, laminating machine, outgrown clothes etc).
