Don't know what to do! Cried again this morning with OH as I'm absolutely dreading going in tomorrow as the first person I'll have to see is the deputy head to sign the absence form. I'm going to be all alone at school as both colleagues are out, so I feel really nervous.

Talked to OH about requesting to leave my contract earlier than April due to health reasons - I'd really like to leave at Christmas but don't know what my chances are - I really cannot see me getting through another 4 months after this term, which is what I'd have to do if I leave at the end of April. I'm actually shaking now and tummy all over the place again!

Called teacher support network this morning, but they don't know any answers for how to request an early release, so I'll have to speak the union tomorrow after school if I can get away.

I haven't done any of my NQT folder, as TSN advised me to take a break so OH and I went out to lunch at M&S using my vouchers, and since I've been to see nice old neighbour and other neighbour who lives above. Young neighbour has been on the antidepressants I'm on and said they do take a while to kick in, and she actually felt worse before she felt better which is why she was signed off. Have printed out everything I need to photocopy for tomorrow.

Changing sheets at the moment but needed to come on here and vent. Sorry!

Hugs to all who need them,

    sexymouse xx

Vanilla - I haven't followed this thread for long and don't know details of what your daughter has been going through or how old she is. But we took drastic measures to move my son to a new school when we was 8 after him suffering at the hands (and feet, and mouths) of the same children on and off since he started school. Every year we seemed to be writing and talking about it with the school but nothing really got any better. Moving children shouldn't be necessary but our boy is so happy twelve months on.

Anyhow, I've had a fairly productive day, finding floorspace in the worst room of the house. Lots more to do tomorrow, when everyone is out of the way but it's on track.

Roll on the new week :j

Sexy this is all so wrong...
all I can say is please keep a diary of what's said. I can imagine she is going to be nasty SO have a few answers. Try to be utterly professional and factual. You were ill. If she says anything inappropriate record it. Any chance you could insist that someone else is present?

There isn't really anyone who could be present as both my year colleagues are out of school - one is on a course and the other is in Spain on a sort of exchange programme.

  • Hugs, sexymouse. All that valli says is spot on. You do not have to discuss details of your health with anyone, including her.Just say you were too ill to work. If you are in a state school, and they question your illness, you say "if you have concerns about my health, then I shall be pleased to attend occupational health when you refer me" then smile sweetly. If necessary, keep saying that. You self-certify for 5 working days, if the doc has you on ADs then you have cast-iron reason be be off, for months if needed (tho' i dont recommend it, unless you really really need it) They will not want this going there, as you will, when asked a question by a nice old occ health doc, break down in tears and drop this lot in the ordure for workplace bullying.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
