Has anyone else had any problems doing it this way? I'm still waiting for something called an 'online declaration' which is to be posted to me, which I have to sign and take to a 'remote centre' where my original documents can be checked.
The staff on the SLC helpline don't seem to know their a**e from their elbow... I get the feeling they just make up a different answer each time I phone them.
Wish I'd done it the old-fashioned way now...

Hi. Have you tried to approach SAAS (Student Award for Scotland)? They are really quite helpful, and if your loan is a substitute for low income as opposed to just extra cash that you want to have, they can also help with that.
You can check out their website at https://www.saas.gov.uk
Cheers and take care.

Umm Unless you live in scotland looking at the above site would be a waste of time.
I applied on line last year and they send a form to your parents address for you to sign. Your parents also get a separte password sent to them to fill in their bit and then get something sent out for them to sign too. Applied on paper this year (wonder why!). It will sort itself out its just a bit long windedCurrent Mortgage - £156,633:eek:Expecting baby no. one on 27th Oct 20100
