How can I find carpenter to make new door for house?

Hi Folks,
Our house is an end terrace, about 1905. Front door is so far as I know the original, with the 3 original rectangular (vertical) cut glass sections in it. The door is in very bad condition. I would really like to get a new door made to match the old one, incorporating the original cut glass sections.
How can I find a proper carpenter who would be able to do this? Any ideas? I don't want to just go down the Yellow Pages route if I can avoid it.
Thanks for any help

Haven't used them myself, but I was having a browse on ebay yesterday and came across a company called Big Old Doors. They seem to have a lot of happy customers, and they specialise in putting new stained glass into reclaimed doors, so I guess it might be possible for them to do what you want.

Might be worth a look, anyway?import this0 -
Google on custom doors or bespoke doors. Door manufacture requires machinery for the most part beyond the scope of everyday carpentersHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Yup word of mouth is always the best. Try asking around at work or if you have kids, ask at the school. Also if you chose the Yellow pages route, search for the company name online to see if there are any sob stories.0
