Lloyds PPI help please :)

I have sent in 3 letters to Lloyds, 2 for 2 seperate loans and 1 for a credit card. All sent on the 16th of Oct.
and within a month I get a letter from Lloyds basically stating that they are willing to uphold the claim against 1 of the loans, They want me to sign without a figure.

Im just wondering how Lloyds Loan PPI worked, I only had this loan open for a month and then paid it off with a load from my husbands bank ( without PPI )

Im just wondering were they this quick to answer due to me only being owed 1 months PPI, or would it of been a single premium thing? LOL I can only hope!!

If it was 1 months Im looking at about £29 plus about £6 interest lol If it was single premium I would be looking at about £1748 plus interest lol No chance they would give that back without a fight! :(

What do you think?

    Hi there
I would ask them to send you a full detailed written breakdown, they should do this on request, so you can make sure nothing is amiss, you never know, mistakes can happen as well, so best to request for an explanation of the breakdown in writing if you can.;)

Thanks for getting back to me. I just think to uphold a claim within only 1 month of me first contacting them seems way too quick for a big claim :)

I will be calling them tomorrow, just to ask them what amount they want me to sign for, But I will also send them a letter to ask for a breakdown of the loan, Do I need to pay for that service?
  • Ok well i called them 3 times, they told me they cannot give any figures out as they dont calculate them till they get the sign final offer form back! really not sure what to do.
I have called the loan centre and they have given me the figure of me paying £121 odd for the 1 month i had the loan open.

Lloyds ppi place has said to sign form and i will definatly get everything i paid back plus 8% interest, What should I do?

Also would a online credit report tell me what loands had ppi plus would it tell me stuff as far back as 2002.

    :) Thanks again x

    Hi beth
No you should not pay for a breakdown of your ppi loan.;)

    Hi there
Annoying that they will not do this for you and just expect you to sign.

Well its up to you, you could still sign and if you realise anything is amiss later on, even though its a final offer acception, you can still try to complain on this later on, then if they do not put this right, you always have the FOS to look at it for you.;)

  • Ok, Just re-called and spoke to another lovely helpful lady in Lloyds, she said she will request that they will calculate and send out another acceptance form with figures on which I can sign.

I also asked her to check out my other Loan case and she said that it has also been accepted, the PPI on that was about £577 as I also paid that off early.

She said credit card they are waiting on paper work, But Im still happy with the other 2 results.

Plus im happier knowing I dont have to sign for something I dont know :) x

    Good one Beth.
    And well done.:T:T
Don't forget as well though when you pay early, they do also include calculating the ppi in with the loan, so depending on what rebate they given as well sort of thing.
At least by you receiving the breakdown will be a help to you, so you know what is what.;)

    Hi
I had a letter from Lloyds stating that they will be repaying all the PPI plus interest. It also detailed how they work out what they pay you back. They said their 'aim is to put you back in the position you would in in if you never had the PPI'. Perhaps that's why theydidn't state a value? Because the value of the interest will be calculated up to the date they receive your acceptance? Just a thought!
