Anyone Know of Year 8 Places in a Good Secondary School?

This is just a longshot but I thought I'd post this in case anyone knows of a year 8 place going in a good secondary school anywhere in the South East?

You can send me a pm about it in case word gets out and by the time I try for a place they have all gone.

You will have to be more specific on area and whether you need a grammar or high school, and is it for a male or female? If you are moving to the area then contact the LEA for a list of schools with places and then visit each school within your vicinity.

Have you had a look on your local netmums site? they have a list of the schools in your area with contact details you caould maybe ring round tomorrow?

We will move anywhere in the South East if there is a year 8 place available. My DS has been without a school place for the past 6 months as there's no suitable school available where we live and so I'm having to HE until I can find a suitable school for him. It's all a bit depressing really. I don't mind what type of school it is as long as it is a mixed and it is a good one.

I don't find LEA's very helpful to be honest. They just tell me to phone around the schools and ask about places and when I do, the schools tell me to phone the LEA to find out. Then the LEA's say they can't tell me until we actually move into the area!!
