Hello All

UK Power have now developed a 'Smart Meter' that enables you to work out how much your bill is likely to be before your bills arrive.

It is still in beta version, but please have a go and give us your feeback.

You can find it here: http://www.ukpower.co.uk/smartmeters/

Any comments gratefully accepted.

I work my own bills out anyway, but I can see it would be usefull for those who can't do it themselves. Mind you, they still have to go outside to the little cupboard and actually read it! Lets be honest, the majority of people don't even compare their actual and extimated meter readings.

Useful, but would prefer a continuous electric usage meter, as featured on "It's not easy being green".

A useful tool but I think that it could be improved by displaying the 'Data Used' section when the chosen supplier and tariff have been selected, rather than only after a calculation has been completed. It is often just a quick tariff check that is required and not a costing.

    Hi espresso

Thanks for your comments. We have now changed it so that it shows your data when you select your supplier as well as when you do a calculation so that you can use it as a quick tariff check.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for making the suggested improvement to your Smart Meter tool. I tend to use a spreadsheet myself and this makes finding the different suppliers data much easier.

Doesn't work for EDF Fixed Price 2008 gas, it does for electricity.
