Hi
I am looking for inspiration...we are hoping to go the Orlando (2 adults and 2 children 11 & 13) next August. I am looking for the best deal of course, we have previously done a package with Virgin but feel sure there must be a cheaper way. Has anyone had ny luck with booking separate flights and accommodation. Also someone mentioned that flying from europeon cities might make things cheaper too.
Any tips or ideas very helpful
many thanks

Hi,
We went for the first time last year and booked everything seperatly , 2 adults and 2 boys aged 14 & 18.
We decided to do it this way because of a really good deal with the flights and booked these 10 months in advance and didn't know where we wanted to stay at that point.
So a Virgin fly drive (they also do teen prices up to 16 years old through Virgin holidays)
Booked direct with Disney for the 1st week. Stayed at the Port Orlean Hotel and decided to have 2 rooms as the boys are a bit to big to share with us and booked the disney dining plan for the week. In August next year it is free when you stay at a Disney hotel. We paid about £20 each per day but thought it was very good value considering whats included.
2nd week we moved to the Staybridge Suites on I-Drive in a 2 bed apartment. It's part of the Holiday Inn group and we booked that direct as well. They have another one at Lake Buena Vista.
I'm sure you will get responses from people who have been loads of times about the best way to book but we found this worked OK for us.
I would love to go again, hopefully 2011 !

I'm a member of the DIBB forum (Disney Info for the British Board !)and loads of people on there could give you practical advice on booking holidays yourself. Warning: the forum becomes addictive as you get closer to your holiday
