B&Q Returns only 45 days now

Having been to B&Q this weekend to use my 15% off voucher, just noticed on the till receipt that their period for returns has been halved from 90 days (which was extremely generous) to only 45 days now. This is also printed on the reverse of the till receipt so must be official policy when the stores use the new till rolls.

I still think its pretty good to be able to return in over 7 weeks.
Where did you get your voucher, were going to look at bathrooms at the weekend or does anyone have any focus vouchersmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Focus do an over 60s card and have sent out a 15% off card valid until 6th December, usually on anything whereas B&Q Diamond cards has restrictions on their Diamond card.0

Not like years ago - i remember finding a light shade never used when i was having a clear out must have been 2 years old . No receipt took it backto BQ and they gave me money back.
I was also told by a BQ S.A. that people used to take plants back they had dug up out of their garden if they didnt grow 12 months later and they could get their money back. Thought that was a bit cheeky !0 -
Also you MUST have a reciept and you cannot even exchange it ?!! Seems very harsh to meDon't sweat the small stuff, Its all small stuff.0

It's all very well having more stringent refund policies...but they never seem to have the staff to man customer services in our store..they send you round to queue up at the tills instead.
But some B&Q staff don't actually know the difference between a lampshade and a curtain pole...I took a lamp shade back once WITH the receipt and they refunded me for a curtain pole!
I prefer Wickes..never had any problems with refunds there and if i recall correctly you have 6 months to take stuff back too.
Homebase only have 28 days refunds i believe..though customer service seems ok in our store. If i can't get what i want in wickes, i'd rather pay a pence or two more at Homebase and notch up nectar points than goto B&Q.0 -

At the risk of appearing uncaring I'm tempted to ask So What?
Cheers
 Maybe the OP felt like we needed to know of this change
I just checked a reciept from some tiles I got last week actually......
And it says about 45 day return policy ptinted on the front and to see back of reciept, which still mentions 90 day return policy
Still using old till rolls then.....
I know which policy I will go by should things need to be returned0 -
Keystone, the good thing about a long refund policy was you could buy things on offer and then get around to fitting them. If it didn't work or the expert, when they came to do the job, said that you have got the wrong one you could take it back. At least they (B&Q) don't charge a restocking charge like builders merchants do.0
