Local Authority staff Travel Insurance

Just wanted to share a positive with you guys. As I've got a pre-existing condition its often been a nightmare getting travel insurance especially having had lots of hospital admissions. There was a few companies I could get insurance with to travel but it would often be at the same or more cost than the holiday. Didnt want to risk travel abroad without cover as although in Europe I could get E111 stuff but there was still risks of the flight itself etc.
Well the other day I was reading on our intranet at work. (Yes I still work part time in an office) I properly read the travel insurance. Had always ignored it before as convinced it would exclude pre-existing conditions. I was wrong. There is no medical questions and all covered as long as not travelling against medical advice and I get a letter to say fit to travel when I book / travel. Wow I'm happy I have worldwide years cover for £65. Any partner would also have covered at slightly more cost. Thats the cheapest cover I've had ever even for a week by train to Spain. Those of you who work / have partners who work for big companies and local authorities please check it out. You too could get a nice surprise and get the ability to travel abroad again.
