Savings

I'm a first time user to the fourms and this may seem like a silly question ...but here go's I have £100 per month I want to save and am not sure if I should put it all in an ISA or half in an ISA and half in a reguler saver account ....I would like to be able to get at the money in an emergency.

Can any one help.......

How about putting it all into an ISA - you can get at the money in an emergency, no problem.

All regular savers (except Lloyds TSB one) will penalise you for withdrawing early, so perhaps this isn't the best solution, but it really depends what you want from your savings.
Do you want to save long term and are you a tax payer? If so, the advantages of the ISA are clear.
If you just want the quickest return in the short term as you plan to spend the money in the future, a regular saver will provide a better rate than the ISA but the only one suitable would be the Lloyds one.
Take a look at it, but I imagine an ISA would be the most suitable.

Most variable rate ISA's allow you to withdraw with no penalty but you must keep in mind that you will not be able to replace the money in the same tax year once you reach the 3k mini-cash ISA limit.
