Please help decorating living room

Hi to everyone out there,
I decided yesterday to decorate our living room, just painting it. i chose a Dulux colour called dusted fondant which is like a soft violet colour, i was not sure when i first put it on the walls, however it looks great now.
Hubby no help on colours he just goes with whatever i like.
My questions is what colour curtains, cushion covers, accesories, plain, floral, patterned, or striped should i put with it.
The room is 18' by about 16' the window is floor to ceiling all along one wall (patio doors) i have two dark brown leather sofas, beige carpet, 1 very old oak dresser unit that has been with me forever. fairly modern t.v.
If there are any budding designers out there with any ideas, or maybe you have used these colours before, maybe we could swap ideas, or even start a new thread. Oh i just thought what colour christmas dec design should i go for.

I would go with cream curtains..nice long ones, cream cushions for your sofas and a nice fluffy cream rug!
