I'm curious about what brands of CD's/DVD's people use in their computers. What do you find to be reliable, and more to the point, unreliable? Thanks.

Hi
For DVD's I use Verbatim, excellent dvd's, never had a coaster yet with one of these in my NEC drive.
CD's don't really use anymore, but I use to use the BenQ ones from Amazon, very good for the price and again no coasters, about £12 for a 100.

I always select Ritek for DVDs, Verbatim for CDs and Panasonic for DVD-RAM.
Works for me.

JoeYou can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0 -
I use any old cheap crap for CD-Rs - the standards are firmly set now and drives don't seem fussy about them any more.
DVDs are another matter. I always use -R format and Verbatim disks. Along with Lite-On drives.0 -
I always bought Riteks but there are so many fakes out there now.
I stick with Taiyo Yuden now.
