This is a brand new website with limited contact details, but some great comps, so thought I post them.
I have entered them all successfully yesterday... :)

Hi,thanks for the comp.It may just be me being ultra cautious but I can't see what the web site is all about. The products that are being presented for sale on it are actually for sale on Amazon ,from a variety of vendors. If you click on the product you are taken to an Amazon page.

Yes I did notice that myself weeowen, but as I understsand it the website is giving people the chance to get the best deals on gadgets, and is possibly looking for promotion, so has offered competition prizes to promote their site...

I did state that this is a brand new website in the OP, and I've entered the comps myself yesterday morning, and have had no excess spam or any other problems.
It's entirely up to individuals if they wish to enter...

I've had a look at the website, it's very new, I suspect they've been an amazon trader for a while and are now trying to set themselves up, more independently.

I'm going to give it a go :)

i dont understand they donn't actually sell anything

Looks like a 'farming' exercise to me. Conviently disguising themselves with a 2 bit mock up website that one could create in 30 mins. Farming for email addresses so they can spam your email accounts with those dodgy 'buy our knock down electrical goods etc from Asia/China'. Still, each to their own assessment.

    Presumably these are daily competitions?

Maybe you're right, but I get plenty of spam emails anyway which are simple enough to delete to delete and I don't use my personal email addresses for comps so I think it's worth a go ;)

sorry to bump but, is it just me that is highly sceptical

i've only been doing comps for the last 11 months but as soon as i hit on this post i realised i hadnt seen this url before and a quick search revealed it was the only one on MSE, after 11 months i've come to find that i've probably encountered pretty much most of the frequent companies that are running comps and so when i hit on a strange named url [gadget-time] i become a lil suspicious

anyway, without wanting to offend the OP because i do understand they were only trying to share a find back to the community, i feel i must point out my findings

    - the website domain was only registered 09 Nov 09
    - it is registered to a company called "Bo0m Boom Ltd"
    - the registrant type is a UK Individual
    - the contact us page is only an email addy
    - all articles on the [professional looking] homepage are only links to texts/articles on other sites
    - the links page shows up some dodgy comping sites

ok some of you may well think well its only my name and email addy they're getting, but thats a start

personally i would not bother with this competition when there are appx 300 other digital camera comp in a calendar year on MSE that are well known to be of a reputable source

    hope this helps some

Apparently everything has a happy ending and if you havent arrived at the happiness, it hasnt ended yet

    :spam: alert !

for the "very valid" reasons pointed out in my other posts here & here

of course no offence to the OP as mentioned in my other posts, but do we really need this on MSE with so many other far more genuine organisations out there offering real prizes

this sites been up less than a week and all comps close in 3 - then the spam will start to hit ya - do the right thing and hit the :spam: button

ps - sorry for the bump, but i feel really strongly about this - these have got to be removed - the rewards simply dont outweigh the risk factor involved - one less chance of a coffee maker, laptop, sat nav or mp3 player etc against all the genuine comps you get to enter in a year isnt going to affect your chances of winning such a prize that much

I don't generally post spam comps...

Please do report to abuse if you feel THAT strongly.
