Region hack, Curtis portable dvd - DVD8723

Hi all you clever techies. Have searched high and low with no luck. Am trying to find a multi region hack/code for a Curtis portable DVD, model DVD8723UK. My player seems to have changed regions after 2 years use and now won't play any of my daughters DVD's (nightmare on long journeys!) It just keps saying'wrong region'. I have found several sites talking about entering codes or downloading 'firmware' but I can't find anything for this model. Help!!

Hi, I'm having exactly the same problem with my Curtis DVD8723 player. It seems to be a common problem. I did register and pay for region unlocking codes from DVD-Unlocking.co.uk thinking this might help, but when I opened their email, there were no codes for this particular model and I have sent several emails advising them of this and that I quoted the exact make and model before payment, but they have not had the decencey to reply, so don't pay that site any money! Anyway, if there is someone out there who can help, I'd be really grateful.
