Makeover day

Hi
I am looking for a makeover day with a difference for someone for Xmas but they all seem like ripoffs!!!
I would love to find one at about £50-£80 (tho obv less would be welcome too) but can't find any that will let you take the digital photos away - they all seem to be about £25 odd but with one print and a non-disclosed price for the other prints.
Anyone got any experience of a makeover photoshoot that is actually worth it? I want is the services of a decent photographer, with hair/makeup/clothes makeover and a decent ish price and the willingness to let you take the digital photos away.
Maybe I'm asking too much, as all the above can't come for the price I want it at (?) with any profit margin for the supplier. without them seeking to make £100s out of the experience and hence refusal to "give away" digital files.
Any thoughts/experiences?

I can't really see you getting that for the price you want - not when you have to pay for the photographer, the studio, and the make-up artist. As well as the photographer's time on the day, they would then want to manipulate the photos before you get them, which means more of their time.
Not sure if this is appropriate for a gift, but you could search out a trainee photographer and make-up artist who want to build up their portfolio/experience. They would possibly want to use the photos themselves though.:starmod:I'm a SAHM to a smiley snuggly adventurous cheeky bundle of b:male:y b.Oct10. :j
We're a vegan family. We do cloth nappies/wipes, dabble with ECing, use toiletries without parabens/SLS etc, co-sleep, baby-wear, BF, BLW, eco-ball laundry, and we plan to home educate (ideally not at home too much - we want to travel the globe).:starmod:0 -
Unfortunately, you'll be hard pressed to find the package you want for that price. They make their money by tempting you with the glossy images and before you know it, you'll be hundreds of quid poorer. A few of my mates came away with framed prints and were about £500 poorer. Even then, they will not surrender the digital files but would let you have the prints instead.
As suggested, you might like to scour around for any photographers wanting to build a portfolio. However, for this, they would have specific ideas on what style they want to photograph and may not provide the correct makeover experience that you want.0 -
Thanks for your input guys.
In the end I did find 2 people that might be able to help. A bit harder than picking something off the shelf, but at around £75-125 and the ability to take 10-12 shots away I think it's a good deal.0
