Domestic gas detector?

I'm looking for a domestic gas detector for my parents. Mum occasionally puts the gas on without lighting it!
I can find detectors for LPG gas like this ones - https://www.gasalarmsystems.co.uk/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=185
but don't know if they will detect natural gas - is it the same thing, just delivered to the house in cylinders instead of through pipes?
