Hi,
I would like to have the thick hard flooring in my lounge and dining room.
Anybody have any advice - somebody told me it was too soft and could get easily dimpled by heels of shoes and should consider laminate rather.
I don't like laminate
Any ideas as to where I could get this cheaply - looking at oak , maybe french oak colour ??
Thanx

We have solid oak and it has 5 coats of varnish (pre coated) so it is very sturdytravelover0

Try your local reclamation place, they'll have tons of french pine and oak floorboards etc as well as parquet etc

We are considering getting ours from here

They have sent samples out and we are very impressed much better quality than some of the retail outlets we have been to.

Just done a pre-finished oak plank floor for a mate and it looks the biz.Did him oak skirtings as well.It was £60 a box,2.2mts to the box from Howarth timber if there is one near you and oak is as hard as hell and gets harder with time.0
