Premier Inn Portland St Manchester - Praise

I stay in Manchester for work fairly frequently and this week stayed at the above hotel. Based on previous experience of Ancoats Travelodge, and the Piccadilly Ramamda I had very low exepctations.

Wow, what a difference. The reception staff were polite and helpful. My advance requests had been taken care of and confirmed by reception on arrival. The hotel itself was clean and quiet and the bedroom very comfortable and clean.

Will definitely stay here again. Excellent value at £60ish for a city centre hotel.

All hotel chains will have their good and their not-so-good hotels, but yes Premier Inn is generally a good value for money brand. Glad you had a good time.

I like this hotel too - they are really good with single female travellers and make sure your room is well away from the lifts and don't read your room number out to you at reception for safety purposes.
