What size Remoska?

For 4 of you I'd get a Grand. I have standard which does 2 of us OK but if you have a Grand you can do a bigger chuck in it and all the things earlier posters have said. I do actually have a Grand (which I got from the 'Sale corner' at lakeland) but I haven't used it yet. I think the difference between using it and your oven will be much more significant that the difference in electricity between the Grand and Standard. But I would recommend a shallow pan as well as the one that comes with it - v useful for quicker cooking things.0

My first one did this - I took it back to Lakeland and they immediately exchanged it without a quibble. The replacement has been absolutely fine.0 -

Thanks for the plug concern Katholicos and also BOGOF .... we actually live in France so would have had to change the plug on the Lakeland one if we'd bought it there anyway .... we changed all our UK appliances to French plugs when we moved here with no problems .... hope it's the same with Polish stuff or might end up .
So I decided the grand is the one for us. Husband is now in Poland so fingers crossed he finds and buys one as after seeing they are £85 in Poland I don't want to buy one in Lakeland for £119
I will keep you posted and thanks again for all your help

Thank you Morgan x Is that an official Remoska shallow pan you use or will any old pan do?
Thanks again for your help

Bonne apres midi Norman: I'm afraid the 'official' one, tho I know it's pricey. I use mine a lot for things like cauli cheese where you want a slightly burnt top IYSWIM, and if you don't have a real one the seal with the lid wouldn't work (unless you can get a round thingie that's just the right size for the Remoska top). On the other had I'm using it in my Standard one so perhaps in your Grand you could just put the food in a Pyrex or something, stand it up on a rack or upturned plate and achieve the same effect as I do with a shallow pan. I think I'd try without buying a remoska shallow pan before splashing out. It just takes a bit of getting used to and i'll look forward to hearing what you've been cooking over on the All new Remoska thread !! Bonne chance :beer:0

Merci Morgan...H is going shopping in Warsaw on Thursday night so I really hope he finds a Remoska for me!!
Well if he brings one home on Friday that gives me nearly a month to try it out before I head to UK for christmas .... so if I think I need it I could buy the shallow pan in Lakeland when I'm in UK
Off to check how much the shallow pan is

My advice, if it's not too late, is to buy the biggest size. You can then do batch cooking if you want to and the bigger size will give you more flexibility. There's nothing more frustrating than having a piece of equipment using up kitchen space and then finding that half the time it's not even big enough to do some of the things you want it to do, even if only occasionally.0

Thanks Primrose x Fingers crossed he's going to buy the big one. I agree I think it will give me more flexibility
Thanks again
