Ashfords homeless numbers would rocket:eek:
Well firstly, I'd assume some sort of business would be bought in to sort out the mess.
I'd imagine that all houses in Ashford would see their values plummet, so business may offer those homes to the tennants at a knock down price, as thats an easy'ish sale and it sorts out the tennants.
Secondly, other BTL investors may buy up some of the stock, I'm sure there would be high interest, but hopefully there would be some sort of rules imposed, say 10 houses only to each investor.
Thirdly if all else failed, the council would have to be bought in and the taxpayer would have to sort it out. Maybe the council would temporarily take the stock on under the buying scheme currently going at the moment.
Theres a fair few options. Obviously all would be emergency options.0 -

I wouldn't worry Fungus, they're building more houses opposite the Park Farm estate......They should cost less and the tenants may be in a position to buy now that "The Coachman and Rupert bear" are out of the market0 -

AIUI, if the houses are bought with a legitimate BTL loan then the tenancy agreement is respected.0 -

Fairly local Fungus, about 10 miles.Went shopping for a TV yesterday and was shocked to see yet more houses going up and yet they still havent built any new Dr,s surgeries ,corner shops or schools.
All they have done is built lots and lots of poor quality houses and no infra-structure......That together with them keep changing the road lay-outs just goes to show they don't have a proper plan for Ashford.....
My FIL remembers Ashford as a village and he,s only 66....There are some very RICH farmers around the area now.......But then you never see a farmer on a bike.....0 -

So anyone buying one as a repo would get a sitting tenant?
Can't see many FTB's jumping in (unless they felt like sharing....:D)0 -
