Sorry, I was being lazy using abbreviations, you're not thick!
When you file for bankruptcy, the papers you fill in are the Statement Of Affairs. This is presented to the judge on the day the Bankruptcy is granted. On these forms you fill in all your details eg debt, income etc and there is a box for you to explain why you have become insolvent. You should list all the reasons that have caused your bankruptcy there.
Hope This Helps0 -
Thankyou, Im going to start filling the forms in this week, so I'm sure I'll have alot o questions to post on here.
Can't believe how scared I am, just got this awful thouh of been interigated and been made to feel really bad. I hope I'm wrong.
What are the interviews like?
xx0 -
Very professional, polite and to the point. Nothing to worry about. The worst part is the build up to the court date. I know its a cliche but the moment the Bankruptcy order is granted by the judge, you feel a huge weight lift.
You will be fine, just be honest and co operate throughout0 -
Does anyone know what they accept as reasonable payments for soa?
For example food for a single person? hair cuts? car maintenance? mobile phone? Clothing?
Does anyone have a copy of an soa which is what they accept?
Hope this makes sense x0 -

Well done for seeking help. At 23 you're definitely young enough to make a fresh start so good luck.0 -
You might be better filling in an SOA and posting it-be honest and if you are being overly generous/ overly stingy people will tell you here.
Honesty is the best policy really0 -

Thankyou, I will do just that. I think I'm really worried about the wreckles spending, this is where thousands of the money went when i had a breakdown a few years ago. Lots of things are coming back to me recently about what I've done and its just playing on my mind.
Also been tring to think what I have spent the debt on and its all just a blurr. It's so wierd x0 -

Everyone has made mistakes. The important thing is that you are as honest as possible, co operate fully with the OR and get your SOA right for the bankruptcy.
Best of luck0 -

I think my soa is on here at the begining somewhere.
Also after the bankruptcy do you know how much spare money they allow you each month?
For example if i get a bonus will hey take it all off me if it leaves me with spare money after i've paid all the bills?0
