Website content: where to source it?

Hi, my partner has had a few ideas for websites.
However the one thing he can never find is content to put on to the site.
He could of course write some articles himself, but we both believe it is going to take more than his own input.
For example he has registered a site to do with the new Nintendo console out later this year. I believe he is going to try and get it to pay for itself through affiliate schemes and a price comparison function.
Are there any MSE's out there that know where content e.g. Reviews etc... can be purchased from ? or even linked to without copyright breach etc...
Does any one have experience of getting journalists/ reviews to write pieces for them ? (Any ideas of costs would also be appreciated).

The majority of people starting up a new website will write all the content themselves. Of cause if it is about something like a new product being released they will also include the press releases from the companies website itself.
There certainly are free lancers out there that will write articals for you or copywriters who will tweek articals you write yourself/ provide the sources for (useful if combined with SEO) but both charge a fairly high premium and you want to make 100% sure that the journalists accept liability for any breach of copyright for the articals written - ie if they just go an steal an artical from MSE on how to get the cheapest nitendo that they are the ones that take the wrap and not you.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Would be best to set it up as a technology blog type thing. Have a look at hardocp.com for the idea.0
