Cosmos with Tesco Deals ?

Hi guys
Just a quick question, i'm about £250.00 short on my family hoilday with Cosmos, manged to collect 3/4 of the cost using Tesco clubacrd vouchers :j. I thought maybe buying £60 clubcard vouchers on Ebay (for around £120 ish) and asking if they will convert them to cosmos vouchers for me, but will these have a different name on them, can i use them with the ones i have, i just thought it would work out 50% cheaper for me ? any advise on how this works would be great, never booked a hoilday before using vouchers but it's our only hope of a holiday next year x

Sorry but all the vouchers must have the surnames of the people travelling.

Did you know there is now a limit of £400 per passenger allowed in vouchers?
Here I go again on my own....

Becles is right on both points.

Have you looked into converting them to airmiles?
Then you can book your flights & hotels seperately.
There is an offer on at the moment which I've posted details about on a different thread.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers! Free flights twice as fast if you’ve not exchanged before.

This offer is available for customers who have not previously exchanged Clubcard vouchers for Airmiles and is valid on one transaction only**.

*Twice the Airmiles offer is available for customers who have not previously exchanged Clubcard vouchers for Airmiles and is valid on one transaction only for vouchers exchanged between 02/11/09 and 21/03/10.

    Worth looking into!

Thanks for your replies, the hoilday is costing £560 each so £1300 with the kids but i only have £1000 in clubcard vouchers so was looking for a cheaper option, Airmiles sound great but i'm kinda lookin for a travel rep, kids club etc with the kids being so young so a package hoilday is probably safer, thanks anyway x

you cant pay the deposits or insurances with clubcard vouchers, so you probably have just about enough already.

You will also be paying full brochure price, no discounts, if using the vouchers

I was under the impression you can only pay a maximum of £400 towards the total holiday cost in tesco vouchers with Cosmos holidays. They changed this a few months ago....

No - it's £400 per passenger, not per holiday. For example we are a family of five, so we could use 5 x £400 = £2000 towards a holiday, but a couple travelling together could only use £800.

Gotcha, the deal isn't as bad as I thought it was then. Still possible to make a good saving I suppose.....
