need help/advice on faulty shoes

hi, i bought a pair of shoes for work on sept 9th. i work part time, so in total have worn them 18 times. basically they leak in on the right shoe toe. clinkards have said they need to send to head office for inspection and IF found faulty will then have to send back to manufacturer........

they were quite uppity with me in shop and i got flustered and let them have them... no time scale for return.
what do i do?

Just wait till they get back to you. You have given them the shoes and in doing that have accepted there terms.
Presumably they took personal details so they can contact you.

If you havent heard anything after say a week, pop back into the shop.
Be nice, dont let their uppity attitude get to you.

If i remember Clinkards arent a cheap shop so stand your ground.

thank you. but they didn't give me an option to "their" terms. felt totally railroaded and out of control. will give them a week as you suggest.

They are within there rights to get the item the checked out. Now if you can prove that waiting for the items repaired/replace/refunded whatever option they choose, that this will cause you significant problems then you may be able to claim under SOGA for a new pair straight away.I suspects it too late for that now/ not worth your effort of taking them to court.
