  • More than likely! We've still got boxes of junk in our loft that i keep meaning to sort out for a car boot sale. Like size 10 clothes that are never going to go near me ever again! :rotfl:

  • I'm having a dilemma. i don't know now whether we should save to move or if we should stay where we are. ACK!

I wanted to move because we need to do (mostly cosmetic) stuff to our house and i decided that since we want a large family we should spend the money moving to a bigger and newer house that doesn't need anything (or as much) doing to it. This is why we wanted new build.

Now i'm thinking that we're okay where we are for now and rather than stretch ourselves with a bigger mortgage we should stay put, spend money on this house and maybe overpay the mortgage while we're on the SVR.

    DILEMMA!!

Cause then i think... If we're spending money on this house only to have to move again when our family gets bigger then we might as well spend the money now and move now. :: sigh::

Someone tell me what to do?

  • Well. I'm dithering.

Now i'm not sure whether to stay put or move at all. This house is okay for us now, but we will outgrow it. BUT, we could stay here with our easily manageable mortgage and spend some money on making this house nicer.

Then when we DO need to move we can worry about that then.

Plus, i am scared about interest rates. They only have one way to go and i am frightened the Tories will get in and they will shoot up.

We're definitely going to get Christmas out of the way before we do anything, whether that be tittivating to sell or doing up for our own benefit.

Oh, and the developer of the new build i wanted to buy has hiked up their prices for the 2010 new releases. They were asking £200K in summer, but they're now asking £230K for the same house. There's no way we can afford that. That's obviously not meant to be.
