Blocked drain maybe.

When I empty the washing up water out of my kitchen sink, it goes down the plug hole, but I face the back garden and when I nip outside all the water is overflowing from the small round grill on the paving stone at the edge of my house.

What do you think? Do I just need to stick a washing up glove on and get my arm down there (outside) and have a good rummage? Or, is there also something I should be buying from B&Q to pour down the sink to break up any blocked debri?

Hope to hear from you, kind regards
Alex

Do you have a pressure washer? if so try blasting that down there and it might clear the debris out.

you could some stuff down the sink, but i suspect the blockage is outside your house, so it might be better to put it down the drain hole outside.

be careful, cos the decent stuff burns...!!!!!!

Get your hand down the gully outside, and clean out as much debris as you can.
Dont start putting chemicals(T V advertising) :( down the drain, waste of money and not good for the enviroment.

Yes , you might need to do if every year. Tends to be leaves that block the gullies.
You'll have to get your hands dirty.

I never put oil or fat down the sink - in fact never put anything down the sink except dirty washing up water (and make sure you scrape all the waste into the bin first!).

Washing machine soap powders also tend to clob things up from time to time so do regular checks on your drains and clear them by hand.
