Could someone please recommend a mascara?

Lancome Hypnose Drama or Lancome Hynose. All celebs swear by this namely the Kardashians all use Lancome Hypnose. I recently bought the set:- Lancome mascara, kohl eyeliner pencil and a small makeup remover £19.50 gift set from Debenhams. The mascara on its own usually costs £19.50. I also bought a Lancome set of juicy tubes for £15.50 and used £5.00 off Debenhams voucher and so total came to £30.00 and the offer in store was if you spend more than £29 you get a free Lancome makeup gift set, with a few different products and eyeshadow compact. Great value. I think the offer is still on in store if anyone else is interested and as of Wednesday there will be 10% off cosmetics if that helps also. Hypnose Drama is 12 x your lashes and Hynose is 6 x your lashes so the Drama is best used for night and Hypnose in the day. Please be careful when ordering from ebay though as it has been known that there are plenty of makeup fakes around, but there are also other cheaper makeup sites like cheapsmells with Hypnose gift sets. Hope this is of help to anyone. ZoeMummy to a beautiful 4 month old princess! x0

I've given up entirely with mascara - either I get panda eyes by lunchtime or I can't get it off at all.
I now dye my eyelashes every 4-6 weeks an use a clear mascara to stiffen them a bit.0 -
whatever you buy, don't bother with Boots No 7 as it's absolute rubbish.0

My friend bought this in Sephora in the US but I think you can get it on Amazon, I can honestly say I have never seen a mascara have the effect that it does, however I havnt tried it myself, I'm a false lash girl:)

lancome hypnose every time - i buy mine on ebay for under £10, not sure what the RRP is instore but i know i cant afford it instore! its really fantastic, and a classic too.
This is my fave too!! Definatly the best I have used. Although I have yet to replace it yet as some 'beep' stole my bag with it in on a night out!! The bouncers managed to recover my bag and all I was bothered about was if my Lancome mascara was still in it! First question I asked them haha!Unfortuantly it was gone!
Been using my back up one at the mo a cheaper one but still a good one, Max Factor False Lash effect0 -
the ebay mascaras (and other cosmetics for that matter), how do you know they are not fakes?
I would buy Hypnose just to try it but don't want some Chinese made toxic stuff on my eyes!0 -
Yeah I dont buy mine off ebay either I prefer to know I am getting the real deal! lol0

Not sure how a fake can be determined exactly but if the deal is too good to be true then it often is. I ordered some mac eyeliner and mascara set and the smell was quite strong and I felt as though it was definitely a fake ... for what I thought was such a bargain was obviously too good to be true. Hypnose is really good and Debenhams online or as of tomorrow in store have it down to £17.34 for the set, but there are a few fragrance/cosmetic websites that you can order it from cheaper. From the experience with fakes on ebay I don't think I will be buying cosmetics off there any more. I have researched it a little also and you can get many brand name makeup products from China very cheap and they are very good fakes so beware.Mummy to a beautiful 4 month old princess! x0

Whats the website Jennie?
What do they rate as the ultimate waterproof, because I'm still looking for totally unsmudgeable.
Those tube coating mascaras are totally unsmudgable but I don't like those, I like "normal" mascara.
Various- can't remember where exactly I posted it, but its on my word documents! Could be Hanbags, could be Dooyoo, could be makeup alley, basic skincare-- too many to mention! Must stop myself joining them, they make suggestions, my bank cards get declined, I get no food....
I think with waterproof, the trick is not to rub- I know its hard, especially if your crying, but if you don't, you find the mascara dries back to how it was before you were in tears. Bad mascaras will result in clumpy lashes at this point, very bad mascaras will trail down your cheeks.
In my experience, Maybelline and Clinique are good. I wore both swimming. I have tried many, some become sort of itchy when they become wet, making it hard not to rub or scratch and so smudge. But these^^ seem to be non stinging. They do give a slight black smudge just a fraction below your lashes, but its a look you can get away with and at wirst, fold over a tissue to drag just under your lashes to get rid of.0 -
