Capital One PPI

I have just phoned and cancelled the PPI I have been paying on my capital one credit card account due to the fact I am not covered as I only occasionally pay NI contributions due to earning below the threshold for it. I was told I would receive a letter in the next 7/10 days confirming cancellation.

Can I therefore claim back the PPI paid since opening the account in December 2007, or would they automatically refund me?

Thanks in advance

    Hi there tweenie

I am not certain they will automatically refund you, but it may be the case that you will have to write to them on this, as this was worthless to you anyway, you were out of pocket because of this.
So if you want to see what comes back by letter first its up to you, but otherwise check here on the link below that gives you the guidelines of reclaiming.
Please ask for help if required, good luck and post any letters by recorded delivery.

  • Thank you Di I will wait and see what the letter says and if not will fire off a letter anyway. Anything would be a help at the moment and if it reduces my cc bill all the better
