have spoken to virgin and to bt, thanks to mrtom21 for his suggestion about virgin tv only, bt has waived the charges and reconnected my broadband. i spoke to a lovely, helpful guy at bt customer services who has restored my faith in bt after the 5 unhelpful muppets i spoke to there yesterday.
