How long to claim PPI?

How long do you get to claim PPI back from a credit card??? Ive tried to claim back from Tesco and they have told me its too late and a significant passage of time has passed. The policy was sold before 2003. Sureley this isnt correct??

One of mine was with Lloyds TSB and was successful through the FOS, was mis sold PPI on my credit card in Jan 2001, so you should be okay.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Mharib - I reclaimed PPi on a credit card from 21 years ago & was succesful - ask Tesco what rules they are applying here & make sure you tell them that you have only recently been made aware that you are eligble to claim0

This seems to be a standard response recently from RBS for RBS, Natwest & Tesco credit card PPI. RBS don't think my reasons for claiming so later are good enough. I have just sent mine off to the FOS.
