Hi.
My kids love playing beat the intro style games. I used to make them on a tape recorder by just recording the first 10 seconds of a song.
I have loads of MP3's on my computer that I know how to burn onto a disc but I have no idea how to edit them down into little segments.
Does anyone have any idea how to do it and what software ( preferably freeware) I would need. I have Nero 6 etc.
Thanks.

To save as mp3 you will need the lame_enc.dll file.

Wow .. 4 replies within 2 minutes of each other. This place is amazing. It's like a visit to the watercooler, as the Americans would say, with specialists in most fields.
In the past I would possibly have written in to a magazines help page and waited 2 months for a reply but now the response time is less than 5 minutes with numerous suggestions.
Thanks again.0 -
Ipods have a built in music game - had a look at that?0

Hi,
Audacity is very good - but mp3directcut is also good for editing mp3 files.
It can be freely downloaded from :-
