Hi all wonder if you can help
I have a toyota yaris bought from new from a toyata dealer, the car is just over two years old and still in warranty. It has had its 10k and 20k services. it has developed a fault with the throttle sensor causing loss of power while driving. It has been back to the dealer to be repaired twice. First to be told no fault found, on driving away from the dealer the fault appeared again within 600yds. They now say that they have replaced the sensor and all is fine. I have requested a hard copy of the work done and this has been refused under the Data Protection Act, that this is between them and Toyota, all i will get is safety certificate. The car is mine fully paid for, am i not entitled to documentation regarding work on my vehicle ? I am left feeling that there is something they are hiding ?
Any clarification would be great
Cheers

Im fairly certain nothing in the DPA would mean they have to supply you with data between them and toyota based on what work was carried out under a warranty. As far as your concerned the car is repaired and its certified repaired. Why exactly do you want anything else?
I also normally find any warranty repairs etc are all electronically authorised etc through systems0 -
thanks for replying. I like to have full records so that when it comes for resale, i can honestly answer what has been done, To be honest i have little faith that they have done any work at all

Just be honest and state no paperwork was supplied but its all on the dealers system. The info will now be registered on the toyota network.
Tbh your worrying about nothing.0 -
will see how the car performs now
thanks for the responses0
