what should i do re bank acc

hiya...
i took my wages out of my account earlier this month for living expenses.
i am due to go br next week and have opened a coop cashminder account already.
do i pay the remainder of my wages into the cashminder or just declare the cash on my form and leave the cashminder until after the br?
i'll be completely honest with the OR as the cash i have is allocated for bills etc - is it easier if i leave the cashminder til post br and then set back up the dd's etc?

thanks v much 4 listening to my ramblings! x

    Hi

It doesn't matter. The OR will not freeze this account as it is appropriate for bankruptcy and it is where you pay your bills. Whichever option suits you :)

    thanks Kerry!:D
  • hi,
we left enough money in our account to cover dd's and took the rest out (under advise from cccs and here), our initial conversation with OR reassured us that it should be ok and if account does get frozen (barclays cashcard account) that it will only be for a max of 24 hours.
We'll let you know what happens cos bank should receive letter from OR next week.
    Good luck xxxx

    Hi Confused,
I was advised by the CAB to take all money out the account, ans cancel any DD's, and just pay everything in cash for a month, then open a new account for the wages to go into. I did this also as I had opened a halifasx basic acc for a few months so we could actually use my wages rather than them get swallowed up in the overdraft.. but didn't keep it running during the bankruptcy week, as sometimes they can suddenly freeze accounts when they decide to!
I opened a Barclays basic account the day after BR, and it's just what i need :)
I had a whole months wages in cash, and the OR was fine with that, as it was for living costs.

thanks MicheH LOL;) i'm sure there will be more questions over the next few days xx

No confused, don't declare the money as an asset hun, it's not for pickings by the OR it's your wage to live off this month. I would tell the OR that you have put the money where ever it is - new account/under your bed to live on and pay bills this month, when you talk to him or her after the BR court order, just so you know you're being above board and the OR knows where these hundresd have gone and what for :) We had withdrawn all our money from our account the day of BR reeady to put into our new account, we just gave the OR a heads up as to where it went and why, not a problem
