Hi
I would be really grateful if someone could help me out on this, I have just brought a laptop and would like to set up a wireless network. I have brought a Linksys WAG54GS ADSL Gateway with speedbooster. I have wired in my desktop, and entered the IP address in order to set up the Modem, but I think the trouble is I am with talktalk broadband, and think the settings they use are different. I am hoping someone would be able to guide me in the right direction or has had this problem before. PLEASE HELP!

Most ADSL routers sold in the UK will be ready to connect to TalkTalk Broadband. The settings should be as below. If you have any problems with your router, please contact the manufacturer. We can’t offer any support for hardware we haven’t supplied.
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
DNS settings (primary) 62.24.199.13
DNS settings (secondary) 62.24.199.23
Authentication = CHAP
Encapsulation mode = PPP over ATM (PPoA). VC-MUX
I wouldn't say think, more blinb
Can you connect wired using the settings above?
Wireless is a completely different issue, and is not related to the isp. Suggest you read the manual, and install the software that came with the router, or go to the config page in IE.
The wireless sticky thread has loads of advice on wireless if you are stuckEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
