I see the interest at the end of 12 months if you pay the full amount of £250.00 per month is £82.65 gross, what would be the figure with 20% deducted? Have a Halifax RS maturing this month and will not be paying in for another year at 2%."When the Government borrows, the citizen has to save".

Multiplying £82.65 by 0.8 should not be beyond you fullstop. Although the headline interest rate is fine, unless you are already with the Chiltern BS I'm not sure around £65 is worth the hassle of opening an account. The Lloyds Vantage and Swindon and Stroud Regular Savers are probably better options as they are not limited to one year.0
